On the stack: for most new builds we recommend a custom build on a modern stack. It carries nothing it does not need, so it is faster, there is less to keep updated, and the design is built to your brief rather than a theme's. We build on WordPress when you require it: you already have a WordPress site, your team edits in WordPress, or you want a WooCommerce shop. Common questions
Custom or WordPress: which should I pick?
For a new site, usually custom. It is faster, there is less to maintain, and it is built to your brief. Pick WordPress if you already run a WordPress site and want to keep it, your team edits in WordPress, or you want a WooCommerce shop. If you are not sure, tell us about the business and we will recommend one and explain why.
How much does a WordPress site cost?
A basic WordPress set-up, a quality theme customised to your brand, is £950. A custom WordPress build is £6,500. If you do not need WordPress, our custom Launch site is £2,950.
How long does a site take to build?
A small site of one to five pages is usually two to three weeks from approved design, assuming we have your copy and images. Larger builds with custom functionality take longer, and you get a date in the written scope before we start.
Do I have to write the content?
You know your business better than we do, so we would rather start from your words. If writing it is the thing stopping the project, say so at the scope stage and we will agree who writes what and price it in.
Can I move the site somewhere else later?
Yes. You own the domain, the site and the code. A custom build comes with its source and deployment notes, so another developer can take it on. A WordPress build is a standard install that any WordPress host can run.
Do you work with businesses outside Bournemouth and Pattaya?
Yes, anywhere in the UK, in Thailand and further afield. Most projects run by email and video call, and being split between the UK and Thailand means someone in the studio is usually awake when you need something.
