What the monthly fee covers
Hosting on our own servers
We run our own cPanel hosting, SSL included. No separate hosting bill, and nobody else to chase when something is slow.
WordPress, theme and plugin updates
Applied and checked. On a custom site we host, the same goes for the framework and packages it runs on. If an update breaks something, putting it right is our problem rather than the thing you discover on a Monday morning.
Backups
Taken regularly and kept off the site, so a bad update or a bad actor means a restore rather than a rebuild.
Security
SSL, sensible file permissions, login hardening, and keeping the software current, which is what actually prevents most WordPress compromises.
Changes billed by the hour
New opening hours, a price change, a swapped photo, a new person on the team page. Email it over and we quote it or bill it by the hour. The plan covers maintenance, not unlimited changes.

How changes are handled
Text edits, image swaps, adding or removing a page, updating prices and contact details, adding a service to an existing services page. Send them over and we quote them or bill them by the hour, agreed before we start. The monthly care plan covers hosting and maintenance, not unlimited studio changes.
A new feature, a shop, a booking system or a redesign is a scoped project. We tell you which one it is, and what it costs, before doing the work, not after.
Common questions
What is a WordPress care plan?
A fixed monthly fee that covers hosting the site, keeping WordPress and its plugins updated, taking backups, and handling security. Content changes are quoted or billed by the hour. It is maintenance, not unlimited changes and not a redesign.
Do I need one if my site never changes?
The site not changing is not the risk. WordPress, your theme and your plugins all keep changing, and an out of date install is the usual way a small business site ends up defaced or sending spam.
Do you take on sites you did not build?
Yes, after a look at the current site. If it runs on an abandoned theme or a stack we cannot safely update, we will say a rebuild comes first rather than take a monthly fee for something we cannot maintain.
Is hosting really included?
Yes. We run our own cPanel servers, and the monthly fee covers hosting and SSL. There is no separate hosting invoice.
Do care plans cover sites that are not WordPress?
Yes, for the custom sites we build and host. Hosting, backups, security and keeping the code current are the same job on any stack, so the plans work the same way. If you have a custom site somebody else built, send us the address and the code and we will tell you whether we can take it on.
What happens if I want to leave?
You own the domain, the content and the site. A WordPress site is a standard install on standard hosting and can be moved to another host. A custom site comes with its source code, so another developer can take it on.
